Berlin East-Germany 1987
For the 750-Year-Party of the City of Berlin, the East-German Gouvernement invited some famous Artist from the Western World. The Pina Bausch Tanztheater Wuppertal came for 3 Evenings. People started lining up for tickets the evening before. Also my friends and me shared the line, so every 2 hour another person took the place in the line.
As only for 5 East-Mark (90円) we could widen up our horizons for Art & Philosophy and Emotions of the “Other Worlds”, cause we also still lived in a small 島国。 Nobody at that time would have thought, that only 2 years later the Berlin Wall will break down!
Some years later, I had the honor to meet Pina in Tokyo, we even shared a Cigarette together.
The pictures I show here are made 2014 in the Sainokuni Saitama Art Theater im Jahre 2014. It is the same play I saw 27 years ago in East-Berlin, called “Kontakthof”.

1987年、東ベルリン。
ベルリン市750周年記念式典で、東ドイツ政府は西側から著名なアーティストを招聘しました。ピナ・バウシュヴッパダール舞踊団は3回のソワレ公演を行うことになり、人々はチケット購入のためにお昼前から長蛇の列をなしました。私たちもその中にいて、2時間ごとに友人と交代して並んだものです。
その公演はたったの5東ドイツマルク（90円）でしたが、ひとつの事件でした。これにより私たちは”異なる世界”のアート、哲学、感動に開眼したのです。なぜならその頃の私たちが住んでいたのは小さなSHIMAGUNI（島国）のようなところだったからです。当時だれもが予想だにしていませんでした、それからたったの2年でベルリンの壁が崩壊することになるとは！
その後私は東京でピナ本人と出逢い、紫煙を分け合いともにくゆらす幸運に恵まれました。
これらの写真は2014年、彩の国さいたま芸術劇場で撮影したもの。演目は27年前、東ベルリンで目撃したものと同じ『コンタクトホーフ』でした。
